March update

2 exams at start of May, better study for those soon. Course was very good on balance.

Theo almost 5. Will be a nice weekend at end of month.

Currently playing: nothing, no time for vidya. Played a few emulators.

Itzacon soon maybe hopefully. Will probably do Saturday only. Warhammer probably wrapping up soon.

Finally acquired employment, 5 mins from house. That's it!

Got back into Yu-Gi-Oh! cards a bit and the Abridged series a lot. Stopped watching it years ago (2011?) glad to see only 20 episodes have been released since then. What's next, watching Zexal?

Wrestlemania: nice to see Jim Cornette will be presenting part of the HoF and also Kurt Freaking Angle being inducted; might even tune in to the event itself somehow and catch the Goldberg/Shane-AJ/Undertaker/JeriKO matches.

Fleetwood Mac doing farewell tour 2018? Will have to go when and if they're in Dublin.

Review #8 T.I.M.E Stories: The Prophecy of Dragons redeux *spoilers*

Bit of a gap since the last time I posted but hell these posts are only for my memory and my loyal spambot fanbase.

Prophecy of Dragons I played with my brother's group in a single night and I have the record in another post. This is my second play through with Cathy and Royce from a few weeks ago.

I played the Elven Ranger, Royce the paladin with the re-roll and Cathy was the lady assassin. We had lay on hands from the paladin which costed no magic and were pretty tasty in combat overall. We started out in the inn as well, made sense to go there. We made the mistake of turning over the door card without the key but we would be coming back, Royce got the golden underwear item and I made contact with our employer; someone checked out the gambling but we left for the market.

In the market we didn't buy any armour and weapons but bought some assorted whatnots from the potion dealer. We also bought tools either here or at the castle plaza, wherever the cat merchant is. Most of the…

#AprilTTRPG Maker 1-15

1. Who are you?

26 year old creative-student-worker-father-gamer

2. Where ya at?

West coast of Ireland. Wouldn't have it any other way really.

3. How did you start creating ttrpgs?

Ooh. Funny how I spent my youth creating new card and board games based off old ones or inventing whole new concepts altogether. A very elaborate game of chess involving the red hit dice from Battle Masters of all things comes to mind.

TTRPGS specifically? Myself and two old friends used to play Lego and hey would have their set characters, player characters if you will, while I had one guy but also controlled the world and all other people - DMPCs, NPCs, and dungeon mastering all at once. We transitioned easily over to 3.5 edition D&D after a failed GURPS one-off. A great two year campaign followed.

4. Describe your work.

Very elaborate RPG systems if designing in isolation from the setting.

5. Favorite game you've worked on.

GURPS can be absolutely fabulous if there is a limit to what tables a…

Never Have I Ever: D&D DM

For everything you have done, add one level. I encountered this on Facebook a few minutes ago and though I should make a quick record.

1 - Killed a PC  = yes, one guy missed the very last session of a mini-campaign so I had his guy die an epic death versus the Big Bad.
2 - Nerfed an item = yes
3 - Used kobolds = yes, almost thought I hadn't yet recalled the Orc-Goblin army the PCs aligned with in one campaign having a few.
4 - Been a player = yes probably as many times as I have DM'd
5 - Fudged a roll = of course many times, DM fiat and all that
6 - Used a mimic = yes, couldn't resist. Mine were red and monstrous, like the ones from Golden Sun
7 - Questioned sanity while a DM = haha yeah
8 - Said 'you can certainly try...' = when has this not happened?
9 - Used counterspell = NO, was never much for magic
10 - Played more than one edition = yes, one game of 4th ed at a con, many, many games of 3.5 and 3 and some of 3.75/Pathfinder
11 - DM'd for children = almost…
