October 2020 update

Just posting something in October so I can say I did it.

Not much to report, basically just work and exercise, eat, play some games.

Still typing up the stuff I wrote in 2019. One page a day, typed. Was briefly writing by hand again but that's lagged a bit, much like trying to read again. It's all really hard on night shift. Difficult to do much else but veg around the place and await the next work day. Hopefully 2021 brings change.

Still doing night shift, took a lot of time off in August and September here and there but just did three full weeks in a row for the first time then the bank holiday coming up. Will probably take a few days off in November here and there to tide me over before the December Christmas break.

Cycling 5km to work at midnight and 5km back in the morning, usually 4-5 times a week depending on weather etc. The only annoying thing now is wrestling with traffic in the morning, I use the road exclusively at night but mix between roads and paths in morning, it's just safer.

Recently got back to running DND 5e, the players are now a bit of the way into Doomstones Book 1. Mainly a level 3 Goliath barbarian and elf fighter, accompanied by a varying cast of support characters. Currently featuring a drunken elven ranger and an ogre mercenary called KERS.

What else... played a lot of random vidya recently, notably the Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition. Even did a Fallout 3 playthrough and a good bit of Terrorist Hunt in Rainbow Six. That's a lot of 2000s gaming!

Nothing else really for the moment, may try and post something more substantial before the end of the year such as a clearing the backlog or a love/hate post. Will definitely type something in November and some sort of retrospective of this infinitely forgettable year in late December.
